Welcome to Pets Care!

A comment I hear frequently is that the dog has been in kennels but did not like it there. People are looking for home-from-home care for their dog and that's where we come in.  We specialise in home boarding, whereby your dog stays in my own home, with my own dogs (3 Labradors).

As well as this, we provide a dog walking service, which is done by collecting your dog and walking it close to where you live. Our aim is not to have the dog too long in a car, and we walk maximum of 4 dogs only.

Transport within 5 miles from Pets-care can also be arranged. All dogs have to be at least 6 months before they can come for day-care or boarding. Bitches must not be in season and dogs should be neutered.

Comprehensive insurance (Protectivity)  covers all of the above services

I hold an animal boarding licence from South Ayrshire Council.

Cancellation policy: cancel as soon as possible so that someone else can take the space.

Dog walking: Stretching legs, making friends and fetching balls.

If you want us to walk your dog, we will come to your house for a 'meet and greet' session, so that we can meet the dog, see the house and surrounding area and learn about the dog's habits. We can then agree days and times your want us to walk the dog. Usually your dog will be walked with up to three other dogs.  This can be on a regular or occasional basis.

Home Boarding; Overnight stays at my house

- Arrange a visit to my house with your dog {s}. The dog can than meet my own dogs and see the house and garden.

-Book a trial night during which you must be available to collect the dog if there are any problems.  If this overnight stay is successful ,which I will let you know, book your stay. First come, first served.

For any boarding, you have to provide your dog's own food and you can bring a bed if you want but I do have lots of comfortable places for them to sleep. Toys might not be a good idea as other dogs get hold of it and they may get damaged., If your dog sleeps in a crate, either bring it or I can use one of mine. I will also need to see an up to date vaccination certificate, which should include kennel cough. Your dog should also have received recent flea and worm treatment.
